The Capelet has been completed. A quick trip to the dye vat (okay...just a teensy saucepan in my kitchen) and it will be ready for display.
I'm going to dye it using the Koolaid that my SP sent to me. Anyone who has dyed Patons Classic Wool with Koolaid? Would appreciate any advice flung this way.
Here is a list of my Summer Knitting Goals:
- Undo and redo OSW
- Complete another pair of footies
- Knit a tank for myself
- Design something and knit it!
- Knit a Swallowtail shawl
I know that it's a rather short list, but reasonable I think. I'm not a very fast knitter so I think these would be doable and help me keep my rule of one project at a time. Of course, it's subjected to amendment at any given time :D
Now for some fun. CONTEST TIME
Ali is holding a very cool contest on her blog. Go check it out. Here is the link.
ALSO, do mention that you saw this contest from my blog, as every referral will get you an extra entry!! How's that for coolness?!
Contest runs till the end of May.
GOOD LUCK everyone!

Make sure you soak the yarn really well before you dye it. When I first started dyeing I didn't soak it enough, and the color didn't take evenly.
Use ALOT of Koolaid. I used only one package per color and it was very pale. It's fun seeing what comes out!
Soak well... and RINSE well! The yarn gets very sugar-y! Good luck. :)
I'm glad to see yourself setting some goals, very brave!!
